Track Name: Waste Summit
Feet at a standstill. Flame extinguished by virtue of flood. Watermark keeps rising up for all the prodigal daughters and sons. Last born of bygone days. Shame a far flung reflection of the past. Apogee of nowhere. Inevitable and approaching so fast. New mountains of landfill. Horizons expanded by dregs and debris. Waste summit keeps rising up. The lions share already down on their knees. First blood of wayward blade. Leveled at the beaten up down no class. All the hands of the once able tied by the bonds of a debt thats breaking your back. Breaking the whole nations back. Dreams of a skyward blaze. Billows of smoke from seas to shining sea. Signs of new life emerge. Eager to learn from a dark history.
Track Name: Buried War Drums
Many speak the secret language of hearts still undone. Years staring at these fallow fields. So little to show on the surface laying unsown. But you know the strength is building in the ground below. When a bell is ringing it sounds like so long ago. Fills the air full of larger than life dreams. Until you can't see the lightnings vicious spark. Was it born from the ground or the sky? Thousand yard staring your own reflection down. Whos invisible army is gonna stand their ground? Thousand yard staring your own worst enemy down. Hear the distant booming of the war drums sound. The one true flame carried in a hollowed out horn. Setting out for bold new frontier. Holding it tightly so the ember glows on. Until the journey comes crashing at the end of days. When the shadows go falling over the edge and down the face. A rock slide crashing into spinning time and space. Thousand yard staring your own reflection down. Whos invisible army is gonna stand their ground? Thousand yard staring your own worst enemy down. Hear the distant booming of the war drums sound.
Track Name: Return From the Brink
Little did I know how heart achingly slow. The return from standing at the brink. The faces minor change but the narrative is quite the same. Everyone looking for something that can't be held or seen. Those who look will find the memories of their past lives. Remember what lies beyond the corporeal plane. Disembodied flight on the blade of the reapers scythe. An ancient field of grain laid infinite asunder. A parting truth you should know my heart will always hold. I'm sorry for the wrongs and I'll never forget the rights. Shed but one tear goodbye for the temporal lie. We all come back around eternal and everlasting.
Track Name: Shooting From the Hip
Shooting quick from the hip. False belief it was a need to survive. Lonely Miss is creeping because you left no ties that bind. Living in the barrens far out of sight. Failed at what you thought you did the best. Hands to the sky untethered to existence. Spaciousness is swallowing memories far and wide. Overcome the distance. Fall into the arms of someone you love but fell out of touch. For whatever reason that doesn't matter now. Sailed all the waters. Traversed all the ground. Searching for a dead culture's golden idol. You know it means nothing to your lifes blood. Another broken crown. Shooting quick from the hip. False belief it was a need to survive. Lonely Miss is creeping because you left no ties that bind. Living in the barrens far out of sight. Spaciousness is swallowing. Overcome the distance. Fall into the arms of someone you love. Make it right.
Track Name: Needless
Just let me be needless. Living off the hard work. The hard work of my own hands. By my own hands. When you don't need a damn thing you always know where you stand. Good to know where you stand. Widescreen sky and my mother earth. You know she don't tell me no lies. I need a little bit more honesty in my life. Oh you know it's hard to find. Wildfire raging on a clear blue morning. At least you always know. You always know what's on her mind. Tell me what's on your mind. The things that I never wanted were burning up all of my time. Flames tearing through the woods so dry. When what I really longed for was never that hard to find. I quit looking in the dead of the nite. Just let me be needless. Some places left me speechless. Looking for the words. Reaching out for the song of the land. A heartbreaker for every spot on the map. The pastoral sights unjudged by worth and simply held inside. Oh I'll share them with you if you try. I'm only looking for the smallest of signs. Grace amazing sings a warning. You know there are still a few things. A few things dirty money can't buy. Need a little bit more of that in your lives. The things we never wanted were burning up all of our time. Flames tearing through the woods so dry. When what we really longed for was never that hard to find. Quit looking in the dead of the nite.
Track Name: Rarefied Blue
I've got a cabin alone in the sweetest smelling pines. On a sunny faced slope. On the greenest mountainside. I've got no ring to wear. Don't know how to share this rarefied blue high country air. Feeling that old worse for wear. Need a little time on my own. Got no burdens to bear in the waking sun's stare. On a cloudless daybreak oh how she shines. Last stand of dimness fades asleep. The possibility of a new day fills my open eyes. Maybe I could take care of my own. Just need a little bit of reflecting time. The West always gave me hope. Cleared the bad fog from my cloudy mind. Leave all your earthly cares. There's no use up here. Broken truths rebuilt anew. Our own to repair. All roads lead to new frontiers. Lost and someday found. Got no burdens to bear in the waking sun's stare. On a cloudless daybreak oh how she shines. Last stand of dimness fades asleep. The possibility of a new day fills my open eyes.
Track Name: The Sights Unseen
Rolling down the road lines. The shape of the sky hanging so heavy when relevance drove by. You can build your heart up so strong and still go weak in the knees. At every moment of truth it feels like you're gonna melt down or freeze. Testing your mettle in bitter defeat. Surrendering. Some things take a long time to never see. The sights unseen. Reduced to embers of a lost history. Slate burning clean. When the smoke clears from your eyes and your scorched lungs can breathe. Reaching for the resolution. There's no hands in sight. So I lay my head down in the ground for the rest of the nite. A spark can start a fire so big all the forest will cry when the wind blows her name through mountains of the beetle killed pine. Testing your mettle in bitter defeat. Surrendering. Some things take a long time to never see. The sights unseen. Reduced to embers of a lost history. Slate burning clean. When the smoke clears from your eyes and your scorched lungs can breathe.
Track Name: Some Misunderstanding (Gene Clark)
There's been some misunderstanding and I'd like to make it right.
Both of us need inspiration and the timing must be right. We all have souls yet nobody knows just how much it takes to fly. But I see my life before me and I'd like to make a try. Maybe someone knows what fate is. Maybe someone knows just why. All I know is it's all related. Maybe someone can explain time. But I know if you sell your soul to brighten your role you might be disappointed in the lights. We all need a fix at a time like this but doesn't it feel good to stay alive? Now I see that in my visions that my eyes are seeing twice. Once for every expectation
and once for what I realize. But I know if you sell your soul to brighten your role you might be disappointed in the lights. We all need a fix at a time like this. But doesn't it feel good to stay alive?
Track Name: Flight From the Land
Flying from the land high velocity. On to new society. The city air makes you free or so they once said in Germany. Through the Midwest down the Great Plains see ghost lands of abandoned hopes and dreams. Failed industry. By the reckless hands of the powers that be. Empty on main street. If you truly believe be prepared for the grief. Constantly longing for with no relief in sight. Shooting through space beyond light speed. The infinite mystery. Void full of dark energy. Missing the pull of Earth's gravity. Landed in the Sea of Tranquility. No water anywhere to be seen. It was so serene. Who hung the moons of all the galaxies. Saw her in a dream. If you truly believe be prepared for the grief. Constantly longing for with no releif in sight.
