One of these days I'll be returning
From a long hard travel
I bet you're still burning about me leaving on no moments notice
So I bought you these boots of old snake leather
From a second hand store in Southwest Texas
I spent the last of my pesos
Running on empty
We could never find it
Still out there searching
I spent the last of my pesos
Running on empty
The vultures were circling
Still out there searching
We could never find it
Still out there searching
The vultures were circling
We could never find it
Still out there searching
The vultures were circling
Running on empty
I bought you these boots of old snake leather
I spent the last of my pesos
The vultures were circling
Still out there searching

These guys are, in my opinion, one of the greatest stoner/sludge band that have popped up in recent years. Sure, you have the "old gods" like Sleep, Electric Wizard, and Kyuss but Spaceslug brings something new to the table. They're fresh, and it seems like they've got no thought of stopping anytime soon. For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst
